I’m Bree Hanan. Official titles include wife, dog mom, registered nurse, and photographer. Unofficial titles are foodie, wanderer, and lover of all animals + nature.
After spending a year and a half exploring the western U.S. as an emergency department travel nurse, my husband Keith and I (along with our dog Luna) have settled back down in the Northwest corner of Arkansas, and I’m so excited to see my photography business grow here.
my passion for photography
I have never felt more like myself than when I am behind my camera. Documenting the right now in my clients’ lives feels, in my soul, like what I’m meant to do.
my passion for creative portraiture
I have spent a long time photographing anything and everything – couples, big weddings, elopements, families – and I have honestly loved it all. But when I get to shoot a creative portrait session, something in me clicks into place.
It’s more than just taking “pretty photos”. It’s the process of taking where you’re at in life – motherhood, graduation, bride-to-be, empty-nester, birthday – and creating photos that will bring you back to this moment in time for years to come.
I don’t need your most polished self. I welcome your weird and wild parts along with your quiet and peaceful parts.
what inspires me
I get my inspiration from a lot of different places; sometimes I’m inspired by a scene in an old movie, or from a book. I am always inspired by nature – it’s why I love doing sessions out of doors. I’m also obsessed with challenging lighting situations.

By now you know quite a bit about me, but here are a few other core traits: hobbies include reading, thrift shopping, traveling, cooking, watching The Office, and becoming friends with every dog I meet.
