Y’all … I love Valentine’s Day. It gives me all the warm fuzzies, and of course it’s a great excuse to shower my wonderful husband Keith with love (not that I need an excuse)! So in honor of last weekend’s holiday, I’m going to be telling our love story.
Keith and I met almost 10 years ago on a rainy Autumn night at a Sonic in Gentry, AR. I was in town visiting my then-boyfriend (who was one of Keith’s childhood friends). It was just a brief interaction that he barely remembers, and I would have never guessed that the cute guy with the long hair constantly falling into his blue eyes would someday become my husband.
The next summer we worked at summer camp together, and that’s when our friendship really blossomed. We ate lunch together nearly every day, and after the summer was over we stayed in touch about once a month or so by texting.
Fast forward five years, and one day I look up from my phone after reading a text message from Keith and I realize we’ve been texting a lot lately. Like, every day for the last two months. Hmmm.

Several texts, phone calls, and facetimes later, I finally made the six hour drive to see Keith one weekend and WOW I immediately knew that I loved him. After only six weeks of dating, I interviewed for a job at a hospital near where Keith lived. I had never worked in the ER before, but I told myself that if I could get a job in the ER in Arkansas, I would move there. I applied to two different ERs, got interviews at both, and got job offers from both! So I quit my job, found a place to live, and two weeks later moved from Texas to Arkansas.

In the year after we started dating there were so many big life moments – learning how to be an ER nurse, becoming a dog mom, buying my first home – and Keith is the best possible person to have been by my side through it all. Less than a year after we started dating, Keith proposed to me at the same summer camp where we had worked together all those years before. And a year after that we promised to love each other for the rest of our lives while standing in a field in the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.

I love our love story. Honestly, I love ALL love stories. And I love capturing people’s love on camera, so that they can look back and remember that moment and that feeling whenever they want to. It’s such a privilege and I don’t take it lightly. So book me to capture your love story in a way that is as unique as you are.
